The Little Rock Nine

Their names were, Minnijean Brown, Elizabeth Eckford, Ernest Green, Thelma Mothershed Wair, Melba Pattillo Beals, Carlotta Walls LaNier, Terrence Roberts, Jefferson Thomas, and Gloria Cecelia Ray.

The Little Rock Nine where nine negro high schoolers that where sent into Little Rock Central High School in 1957 to try and break the segregation of white public schools.
