Agriculture

The monsoon season was important to Indian farmers because it gave lots of water to help grow and sustain crops. They used dams, reservoirs , and canals as irrigation systems so their farms wouldn't flood. Because of the large productivity, their population was able to grow a lot during the post classical era.
