The Lungs and the RBC

Oxygen and carbon dioxide are exchanged in the alveoli in the bronchial tubes. When you breathe in, oxygen moves from the alveoli to the capillaries and into the bloodstream. While that happens, carbon dioxide moves from the bloodstream to the capillaries and into the alveoli, releasing the carbon dioxide.
