Subordinating conjunctions

Definition

They are more numberous and sometimes a combination of words. They connect a main clause with a subordinating clause

- Joseph asked for the ice cream (because) it was hot out.

- Skyler is (as) tall (as)the phone pole.

~ BECAUSE and AS are conjunctions because they connected words making the sentence make more sense
