- Tom hates Mondays.
- Pretends to be sick by having a sore toe.
- Also he pretends that he's dying.
- Turns out he has a sore tooth.
- Aunt Polly ties a string to the bed post then ties it around his tooth.
- Aunt Polly pulls it out.
- On his way to school he bumps into Huckleberry Finn.
- Huckleberry Finn is a Motherless Boy who is an outcast.
- Tom gets in trouble for being late to school
- Gets more in trouble for talking to Huckleberry Finn.
- His punishment is to sit with the girls.
- On his slate he writes " I love you" to Becky.
- The teacher saw him and pulled him by his ear to sit back with the guys.
