Kaltenbrunner was born October 4th,1903. His family move to Linz and went to the State Real Gymnasium. He study law at Graz University
Kaltenbrunner joined the Nazi party and the S.S in Austria in 1932.
In his early career in the Nazi party was the district speaker and legal counsellor of the S.S division
Kaltenbrunner was the head of the Austrian Nazi party. He was also appointed head of the SS division VIII.
He travelled south in Germany in a effort to escape. On May 15th 1945 he was captured by American troops. He was put to trail. He was charged with crimes against humanity and was sentenced to death. His execution took place on October 16, 1949
