Sponges

Characteristics: sponges do not contain tissues, muscle, and a nervous or circulatory system. They are invertebrate and can adapt to any environmental conditions. They contain pores which allow them to take in water and food they also filter what come in.
Scientific Name: Porifera
-there are approximately 8000 species in the sponge group
