Mortal sins are sins that cause a complete separation from God due to their evil nature. Mortal sinners are doomed to eternal death as a result. There are three determining fsctors in a mortal sin. The act must involve grave matter, the person must know the full evil nature, and the person must give his or her full consent for the act to occur.
