Different methods of solving System Of Equations
Graphing method is used to see the intersection points of 2 equations of Slope Intercept Form (y=mx+b).
-We use it to find the solution of the problem either the solution can be
(NO SOLUTION,ALL REAL NUMBERS,ONE SOLUTION)
Parallel lines indicates that the lines have NO solution.
One intersection point indicates only ONE solution of the equations.
When two equations are the same with the slope and y intercept the lines sit on one another, resulting in multiple REAL number solutions
Substitution method-pulling away the value of one variable in an equationand plugging it in to another. Y=2x+1 and 3x+y=11 when solved for x it equals 2..then solve from there on.
Elimination Method- this is when you take away or eliminate the variable by changing its coefficents/negative or positive number.
To elliminate the x or y variable we add the equation. Now left with one variable to solve
Next, you subsitute and so on.
