Robotics

Multipurpose surgical robots are being used as a laparoscopic assistant. With this new robot human guidance is not needed. Human guidance has disadvantages of fatigue and shakiness leading to inconsistency of the field of view this study investigates whether replacing the assistant with a compact robot can improve the stability of the surgeons field of view and also reduce having at the table

Although this new technology has its advantages. A lot of surgeons still do not trust robots completely because of malfunctions and the harm they can cause their patients.
