Celebrations in Lithuania

Lithuania celebrates a holiday called Jonines. Jonines is on June 24 of every year. It is also known as the dew holiday.Girls believe that morning dew turns magic on this shortest night of the year and in the morning they use it to cleanse their faces. At midnight they search to find the magic fern. They also believe bathing in lakes on this shortest Night of the year will make you look younger, and help you get married faster. And a bonfire is a tradition to salute the song on this day. This holiday is brought from Pagan culture beliefs.
