Here we were called in by Lee to reinforce our army when they were running low and at a very high causality amount. Earlier before this our army was attacked in Sharpsburg, Maryland near Anteitam Creek. We fell out with a loss in the end due to the Norths extreme number advantage over us. This battle but an end to our winning streak and unfortunately gave the north hope in the war. By winning this battle, it gave Lincoln the plan if issuing the Emancipstion Proclamation, another negative thing for us. The Battle of Anteitam was not a good thing for the south.
