At around 9:03 there was a call over the intercom telling them to evacuate the building. Ron and Richard did not hear this call. They were about to step into the elevator to go to a higher floor to look at the damage and in a split second, boom. A plane had hit their tower. "In a split second, everything was raining down on us. Papers, ceiling tiles, A.C ducts, speakers, everything." Ron recalls. "The building started to sway back and forth and jumped to a stop after about 5 seconds" Richard recalls. When it stopped they both went running to the stairway. Luckily they both got out safe but when Ron got out he was hit by flying debris and ended up in the hospital and woke up 3 days later.
