System of Linear Equations and Inequalities

Emilination Method

In order to solve this problem you need to decide which variable to find first. So in this equation it would be easier to solve for x since we can easily eliminate y. So first we would combine the equations together and get -7x = -14 then in order to find x you would divide everything by -7 and get x alone. When you do this you will get x=2 and thats how you would find x. However you still need to find y so in order to do this you would need to replace x with 2 in one of the equations. So if you do it in the second equation you would do 5 times 2 and get 10 then you would subtract 10 from 22 and get 12 then you would see that 4 times 3 equals 12 and that show you would do elimination method.
