During the War

During the war, Texas helped with it's total of 15 major military bases and 40 airfields and 40 P.O.W. camps. Texas held more prisoners of war than any state. 1.5 million people came to Texas to train. Texas also helped by rationing food.
During the war, 30 Medals of Honor were given to Texans, and 22,000 Texans lost their lives in the war.
