Inventions

There were many inventions during the Scientific Revolution. One was the barometer. It was made by Evangelista Torricelli. The barometer helps tell the forecast and measure the air pressure. Also there was the thermometer which was first invented by Galileo Galilei, but then an Italian doctor made a more accurate model. The thermometer is used to take the temperature. Finally there was a microscope that was made by Zacharias Janssen, but Antoni van Leeuwenhoek was the first to use a microscope for science. Leeuwenhoek discovered tiny organisms which help us learn more about things we can't see with the naked eye. In my science class we used the microscope this year to look at cells in the organisms. We compared human cheek cells and plant cells. It helped us learn the differences and similarities between the human and plant cells. These are some of the inventions and how we use them today.
