Puppies
There were puppies on the sofa And puppies on the porch and roof
And puppies on the chairs And on the garden wall
And puppies in the dining room There were puppies in the attic
And on the cellar stairs In the bedroom
There were cold ones in the icebox In the den
And hot ones near the stove And even in the closets
There were puppies by the pack and herd There were puppies (nine or ten)
And puppies by the drove "Look at all those puppies, Henry.
There were puppies in the parlor Aren't they just dear."
And puppies in the hall "Enjoy them while they're puppies, Jane
They'll be full-grown dogs next year"
Jack Kent
I chose this poem because I thought of my dog when she was a puppy. She always ran around the house and acted silly. She would be everywhere.
Alliteration-
There were puppies on the sofa and puppies on the chair and puppies in the dinning room (ect.)
Rhyme scheme- And puppies on the chairs and on the cellar stairs.
Repetition- and puppies
The photo has puppies in it and the poem is about puppies
