About amethyst

Amethysts can vary from light pinkish violet, to a deep purple, and are smooth with pointed edges. They are usually used for jewelry. Amethysts used to be worth just as much as diamonds. It was said that they were supposed to stimulate and soothe the mind and emotions. This mineral can usually be found in Siberia, and Brazil.
