It was one of the peace treaties at the end of World War I. It ended the state of war between Germany and the Allied Powers. It was signed June 28, 1919

They signed the treaty and was active in it. French Marshal Ferdinand felt the restrictions on Germany were too lenient he then declared that "this is not peace. It is an Armistice for twenty years."
