The Central Powers are also known as the Triple Alliance
Started out as Dual Alliance between Germany and Austria-Hungary
During the war the Ottoman Empire and Bulgaria joined the Triple Alliance
Wanted to protect the status quo in Europe

Main Countries were France, Russia, and Britain
These countries had an alliance beforehand called the Triple Entente
Many other countries joined the Allied Forces such as Japan, Italy, and Belgium
America joined near the end of the war in 1917 and helped turn the tide of the war
