WHAT CAUSES ADHD?

-that's 1 in 11 children, or 5.1 million kids
-mild ADHD is diagnosed at age 7
-moderate ADHD is diagnosed at age 6
-severe ADHD is diagnosed at age 4 and a half

ADHD is caused by a chemical imbalance in neurotransmitters. It is probably genetic, and is suspected to be more common in babies born premature. ADHD is more prevalent in boys then girls. Additionally, boys and girls exhibit different symptoms more strongly.
