Adding to what we said earlier about Romanticism, there were two views of it. There was Bright and Dark Romanticism. The bright side of it focused optimism and love, the dark side focused on the imperfections and darknesses of the human heart. Nothing says love more than Poe's story about murdering a guy and then burying his heart under the floorboards, right?
