Increases student’s attentiveness, problem solving abilities, and memory
According to a study done by JAMA pediatrics there is “strong evidence that higher rates of participation in school breakfast programs are associated in the short-term with improved student functioning on a broad range of psychosocial and academic measures.” (Murphy et al, 1998).
By giving students a chance to eat during school hours, you are increasing their likelihood to improve their grades. They will also be able to retain more information that will carry on to better performance in standardized tests.
