Stand in the Schoolhouse Door

-A stand in the Schoolhouse Door was one of two major confrontations at Alabama University.

-This event took place in February 1957. It even involved an African American woman trying to enroll in classes at the University.

After 3 days of being at the University she was driven from the school. Then 18 days later with a court order she got readmitted to the school.
