Cause and Effect

In the story "Urashima Taro and the Princess of the Sea there is cause and effect. Urashima could not find his way back to the Sea King's realm, so he decided to open the box the princess told him not to open, hoping there would be a clue on how to get back. The consequence for doing so was that a purple wisp came out and returned him to his old age and caused him to die.
