Origins of Democracy

500 names were drawn from a pool of all Athens, and those people had o serve for one year. The thing that they had to do to serve was to make new laws and changing old laws as they saw fit in. Before it became a law the citizens had to vote yes or no, to vote citizens had to go to an assembly and vote there.
