Trees are more scattered around the area which allows grasses to thrive. The trees and plants have adapted longer roots to get water rom deeper down. The trees have less leaves to reduce the amount of moister lost through evaporation.

In the savanna Animals must adapt to hot weather and living some days without water.

Humans have made an effect on the savanna by hunting in the savanna and using the food sources.
