What is a Paradox?

-A statement that leads to a seemingly senseless, logically unacceptable, or self-contradictory conclusion

-Simply, a paradox is a sentence that contradicts itself.

-Usually consist of two true statements, but cannot be true at the same time

Purpose

-Make statements that sum up the main ideas of the work

-More interesting for the reader than just being straightforward

-Memorable
