ch. 7

Jeff Martinelli was in the middle class with a factory job. When he lost his job he realized how hard it is to get a job without a college degree, even if he has a lot of experience and the job wouldn’t typically need a degree.

Andy Blevins dropped out of college after one year. He is now worried about not having a degree in case he loses his current job because he knows it’ll be hard to get hired.

Della Mae Justice gradually moved up in terms of her social class, attending a college for lower class//low income students, and then later becoming part of the middle class. She never felt completely comfortable in the middle class setting.
