Body plan and bone structure

Narwhals are medium sized, for both sexes the body size can range from 13 to 18 feet. Males are typically larger than females. On average, narwhals weigh anywhere from 1800 to 3500 lbs.

No dorsal fin, and their neck vertebrae are jointed (not like dolphins and most whales).
