First thing you must two is get a decent sized amount of clay. Sizes may vary depending on the size of your cup. Once you have your clay, roll it down to about your finger's thickness. Cut a rectangle out of the clay and begin to slip and score the sides together until the seam disappears. Once done, roll out some more clay, (same thickness) and place your cup on the clay. Trace the inside of the cup through the clay and cut it out. You should have a circle that fits perfectly onto the bottom. Slip and score the circle onto the bottom of your cup and remove the seam. You have now finished the basis of your cup. Once that is done, add any design or texture onto your cup. The next thing your cup needs is a handle. Roll out clay the same thickness as the cup and cut a rectangle about an inch wide and as long as you would like the handle. Slip and score the top of the handle onto the rim of your mug and then slip and score the bottom of the handle just above the bottom of your cup. Remove the seam and smooth out your cup. Then you're done!
