What Did the Astronauts Do?

The first thing that they did was get a sample of lunar surface, to assure if there was an early end to surface activity they would have lunar surface material returned to Earth. The first sample of moon rocks were basults, dark colored igneous rocks, about 3.7 years old. The EVA duration was 2 hours and 31 minutes. They traveled 250 meters.
