Superfluous commas are commas that are used incorrectly. Superfluous means unnesecary.

A comma is a pause between and in sentences.

Comma Errors

Today, we will be going to the beach. We will bring towels, sunblock, sunglasses, a umbrella, and, sand toys! When we get there we place our towel, and, put on sunblock. Then we, jumped into the water. My sister, Mackenzie, got a mouth full of water. It was, fun!
