Organelle- Structure that performs important cellular functions within a eukaryotic cell
Vacuole-stores materials such as water, salts, and carbohydrates.
Lysosomes- breaks down lipids, carbs, and proteins into smaller molecules that rest of cell can use.
Cytoskeleton- gives the cell shape and internal organization.
Ribosome- consists of RNA and protein found throughout the cytoplasm.
Golgi- modifies, packages, and sorts proteins and other materials from the ER for storage in cell.
Chroloplast- found in plant cells: captures energy from sunlight, and converts it into energy.
Mitochondrion- converts chemical energy from food into compounds convenient to for cell.
Lipid Bilayer- makes up cell membrane and forms barrier between cell and it's surroundings.
ER- membrane system found in eukaryotic cells. Also where lipids are assembled.
