Charlotte's Web starts off with a litter of pigs being born. Unfortunately, there was a runt in the litter and the owner wanted to kill the runt. His daughter, Fern, begs her dad to keep the piglet as a pet. He gives in and the pig ends up staying in their house, until he becomes too big to stay there. They move him to their Uncle's farm. He befriends a spider names Charlotte. Soon enough they realize the pig might be sent to the butcher. So Charlotte comes up with an idea to save him, put words in her web about the pig, Wilber. Everyone in town becomes a fan of the webs, which ends up saving Wilber and wins him a prize at the fair. As we know, spiders don't live long. Charlotte is dying and is leaving her unborn spiders behind. Charlotte dies at the fair and Wilber brings her unborn eggs back to the farm, which they all hatch and become Wilber's friend.
