False Clue

The false clue is that I thought they were going to go home after Claudia started crying because Claudia was really hurt but they didn't quit until they found out about the angel statue. They researched all they could and then Claudia came up with a plan to go to the person who gave the statue to the museum, Mrs. Basil E. Frankweiler.
