When did the construction on the Great Wall start and how many people died?

The Great Wall of China started construction around 221BC, most of the current main wall was built between 1368 and 1644 (Ming Dynasty). This means it took around 276 years to build. While the wall was in the making, many builders died, around one million or more people died during the construction.
