1. Scout fights Cecil Jacobs because he was talking bad about Atticus.
2. Atticus is deafening a black man named Tom Robinson.
3. Atticus said he had to take the case because if he didn't he wouldn't be able to hold his head up.
4. Bad language is a phase for every child, but temper needs to be learned to keep controlled.
5. Atticus wanted Scout to hear every word of that conversation.
