Dodo birds became extinct in 1681. It was unknown how many were left when they did become extinct. The last sighting was in 1662. Although Dodo birds were fearless of people due to their environment lacking any significant predators. Because of hunting and becoming prey for animals brought onto the island by explorers, they became extinct. With the stop of hunting the extinction could’ve been easily stopped, which is should have.
