Why was it put into place?

 1.)Congress wanted the consumers to get all the information about warranty terms and conditions so the act provided consumers a way of learning what the warranty coverage is offered on the product before they buy it. It also helps give consumers a way to know what to expect if something goes wrong and helps increase customer satisfaction.
