The Sand Man is in the European culture. It is said that the Sand Man was bad. He would put dust in childerns eyes. They would fall out and he would feed them to his bird. The Sand Man lost everything and wished to make childern have good dreams. So he became good and that is how the Sand Man turned to in him into a good person.
