Revolution

The turning point was the Wuchang Uprising that ended with the abdication of the six-year old "Last Emperor", Qing Emperor Xuantong Puyi. Sun Yat-sen was a Chinese revolutionary, first president and founding father of the Republic of China, and medical practitioner. The government was not stable at all due to revolts. The Treaty of Nanjing helped establish control.
