Los alcoholes son bases muy debiles en el agua .Sus principales reacciones quìmicas son las siguientes:

A temperaturas elevadas ,los alcoholes reaccionan con un ácido fuerte ;como por ejemplo el ácido sulfúrico,eliminando agua y formando un alqueno u otras funciones.
