Wanderlust

Robert was born and raised in New York, and graduated from a preparatory school at George School in Bucks county Pensilvania. He attended Swarthmore College, in Swarthmore, Pa. He received B.A. degree; majoring in economics. Studied painting at Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts, Philadelphia, with Henry McCarter, Francis Speight, and Daniel Garber, and he was interested in portraiture. He travelled to Europe to study the Renaissance and Giotto, he quickly left though because of the beginning of World War 2. He also traveled to Mexico, where he discovered David A. Siqueiros and his work. He made many more travels throughout his life to different states in the U.S.
