Krewes

-A Krewe is a private organization that puts on festivities during Mardi Gras.

-There are three main rules every Krewe must follow: Every Krewe must have a float in the parade, each group must throw a ball, and Mardi Gras must be its main purpose.

-Krewes were invented in 1857 by the Cowbellians, who were a group that hosted New Years' Parties.
