Islamic Expansion

Expansion of Islam began after the death of the prophet Muhammed as a result of the Arab empire imposing it. It also grew due to missionary activities boosting it and as a result of the Sufis who spread through mingling with local people. Another reason for the spread of Islam was trade. Trade with southeast Asian countries and the Ottoman Empire allowed it to spread even more and create what was called Muslim World.
