My text fits the post-apocalyptic genre because its not the end of the world but it was almost the end of the crews world. What this means is the crew had many dangerous experiences on their expedition and on many occasions they could’ve died. An example of this is when At high altitude, they looked back and saw fog closing up behind them. Night was falling and in order to get away from it they had to descend to a lower altitude. They slid down a snowy slope to safety at a lower altitude. This is important because if I was ever in a dangerous or post apocalyptic scenario I may need to make some intellectual choices like Shackleton and his crew did.
