The girl's hairstyle is called a waterfall braid, an easily done braid that wraps sturdily around the head as shown on left. The girls would also curl their hair.

The guy's first costume is a dove gray (the color of the jacket on the right photo) vest with matching dress pants. Underneath the vest is a white dress shirt (top left) and blue tie (top right), with black dancing shoes (bottom left).
