Specific fossils and rocks

The start of flowers appeared during the period and with them came insects too, so you can mostly likely find those fossils and dinosaur fossils because they became extinct towards the end of the era. There was a lot of terrestrial rocks, but also the mid-ocean ridges became less active during the period.
