Photosynthesis is a complex and complicated process so here will be the rundown:
Photosynthesis is the process by which chloroplasts take light energy, CO2, and H2O to create food in the form of sugars along with a byproduct of O2.
There are 2 stages of photosynthesis: the Light Dependent (light harvesting) stage that occurs in the Thylakoid membrane, and the Light Independent/Calvin Cycle (sugar synthesizing) stage that occurs in the Stroma.
Function of the Chloroplast:
Photosynthesis
Absorb light, water, and CO2 to create sugars for food.
Capture light energy to conserve in ATP and reduce NADP to NADPH.
